Empowering Our Region’s Workforce
The Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board is comprised of local employers, community and education partners, economic development, and labor executives who come together to address regional workforce system.
Our mission is to strengthen the workforce to meet the needs of regional employers and foster economic growth by providing access to job training, career services, and employer resources.
The Workforce Board administers the federal Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) across the three-county region. Through our local workforce servicers offices, job seekers and employers have access to the public workforce system.
Our Approach: Collaboration & Results
We partner with local employers, educational institutions, and community organizations to deliver comprehensive workforce solutions. The Workforce Board is dedicated to ensuring that local job seekers have the skills necessary for career sustaining employment and supporting businesses with skilled talent.
Through WIOA-funded programs and ongoing partnerships, we provide the strategic strategies to ensure job seekers build valuable skills and provide employers with the resources they need to grow.
